Bolg Lán was a collaborative project between French artist-led space Glassbox and Catalyst Arts, funded by Fluxus Art Projects.
Bolg Lán brought two artistic communities together, for a fleeting moment of connection, togetherness and the generation of shared, sense-based knowledge.
Emma Quin, Tori Clarkson and Samar Nezamabad, three Irish arts practitioners and Co-Directors of Catalyst Arts, cooked and served a selection of dishes from their homeplace, which have memories, feelings and stories attached to them in Glassbox locations in Paris and Montpellier. Welcoming dinner guests into the space to enjoy and connect with these foods and their meanings, we ate, shared and communed with one another.
A selection of works from artists within the Catalyst community: Charys Wilson, Silvia Koistinen, Eslam Abd El Salam, Fíne Holohan, Tara McGinn also took form in the space.
