



Pulp(fiction) examines the undoing and doing of things, focusing on the artful, often ugly processes in nature, biology and life. This project has been developed remotely throughout 2024 between Emma Quin, based in Belfast, and Fiachra O Suilleabhain, based in Germany.

a warm wetness forms enveloping corners and creases
when i meet you and i like you and i open my mouth and smile and laugh i coat your face with a light fluid film and we exchange our insides.
divert from refined sensibilities. lick the viscous yellow crust from the tree bark when you smell it. think about what sap is then get bored.
assemble and disassemble the thing. forming and unforming homogenous mulch, soil, seed and matter. repeat.
pick at the in-betweens, the moist, the fibres and the mould.
enjoy the pulp of things that could make some thing but haven’t quite got there and maybe never should.
avoid shape at all times and simply soak.
